Abstract

Portrait Of Preeclampsia in Pregnant Women at Cipondoh Public Health Center In 2025

Background: Preeclampsia is a major cause of maternal and perinatal morbidity and mortality in the world, including in Indonesia. In Indonesia, preeclampsia and eclampsia are consistently among the top three causes of maternal death along with bleeding and infection. Objective: To determine the incidence of preeclampsia in pregnant women at the Cipondoh Community Health Center, Kota Tangerang, Banten, Indonesia.  Method: This is a quantitative descriptive study with an observational design, using a cross-sectional study approach, the study population is all pregnant women with preeclampsia who visited ANC at the Cipondoh Community Health Center in the period January–December 2025, a sample of 65 pregnant women with inclusion criteria using total sampling techniques, data were collected by utilizing medical records of pregnant women with preeclampsia and analyzed univariately. Results: More than half of the respondents were in the age range of 20–35 years (67.7%), had 2–4 children (69.2%), 46.2% had obese nutritional status, 55.4% did not work and 90.8% had no history of hypertension. Conclusion: Preeclampsia no longer occurs in the group of mothers with high-risk age and parity, but is also found in mothers of productive age (20–35 years) and in parities 2–4. Meanwhile, obesity, inactivity at work, and a history of hypertension are still common predisposing factors for preeclampsia.
